Ty student Aine Shortall competes for Ireland in the Andalucia Sunshine Tour, Vejer De La Frontera, Cadiz, Spain.

 Aine departed Ireland with her horse on the 13th of October and travelled the long journey of just under 3,000 KM from Dublin to Cherbourg and then from Cherbourg to Cadiz, Spain.  

 This competition attracts some of the very top professional showjumpers from all over the world and it certainly is a massive opportunity and experience for Aine to compete at such events. 

 In Spain currently in the world ranking classes you have the likes of Cian O Connor, former World Gold Medallist , Ireland’s Dermot Lennon and USA Laura Kraut competing.  

 Aine is obviously jumping in smaller classes, but she is competing against competitors from all over the world.  So far Aine has competed in 3 classes last weekend and the results were just amazing as she was placed in every competition, she took part in with a 4th, a 5th and in the 1.25 metre class she had another 4th. 

 She is truly delighted with this result as it is a relatively new partnership with herself and her horse Killerisk Can Ya .
