Self Help Africa at the Iveagh House

TY students Sive Brady and Poppy Hennessy had a special opportunity to showcase their BTYSE project at the Self Help Africa exhibition in the Iveagh House on 23rd March. Their project ‘High Frequency to Save Food’ was one of just eight projects selected. The exhibition was attended by Colm Brophy T.D. Minister for Overseas Development Aid and Diaspora. Sive and Poppy talked to the minister about their project and the benefits of their storage unit in developing countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo.  The Iveagh House is a beautiful building on St Stephen’s Green and is part of the Department of Foreign Affairs. It was a great privilege for the students to attend this event and to meet the minister.
