This academic year saw the advance of CPR training for our student population through the Irish Heart Foundation CPR 4 Schools Programme. Teachers Ms. Neilan, Ms. Gilligan and Ms. Condron have trained through the organisation and are now beginning to roll out the training to students across the school. Thank you to student Daniel Mc Carthy (5^th Year) who is an Order of Malta trained First Responder and has helped in the certification of our first pupils. A group of our TY students has also been involved in raising awareness regarding the importance of emergency protocol such as AED location and Eircode awareness. The roll out of this worthwhile initiative will continue to advance in MCS into the next academic year.
