U15_soccer_girls

Here in Moate on Friday 11th November, we witnessed the first ever under 15 minor girls schools soccer match in Moate Community School. At it was an emphatic win for Moate vs Glasnevin.

In the first half Moate girls got off to a great start with two goals in the first seven minutes with Chloe Malone and Neasa Trainor scoring the goals. About ten minutes in the girls kept possession well with great play inside the box and the girls won a penalty which was put away by Alex Kelly to make it 3-0. After the penalty, intense pressure from the girls lead to a strike from Neasa Trainor at the end line which floated into the top corner to make 4-0.

After the 4th goal Moate continued to pile on the pressure. Great play from Heidi Murray lead to a goal from Chloe Malone to make it 5-0 in the 23rd minute. The girls kept pushing on which lead to the first hatrick of the game from Neasa Trainor with a great finish. Possession and intensity was kept high which lead to a counter attack which put Chloe Malone through on goal for the second hatrick of the game.

Pushing into the final minutes of the first half, Neasa Trainor put in a cross which deflected off of Glasnevin’s number 4 to make it 8-0 at the end of the first half.

The start of the second half the girls didn’t drop any standard with Hannah Moran scoring the 9th goal 3 minutes in. In the 10th minute of the second half, Neasa trainor was put through which a great ball from Alex Kelly to be denied with a great save from the Glasnevin’s goalkeeper. The girls didn’t drop their heads and Karrisa Burns made it 10-0 with a super finish.

Pressure put on the Glasnevin’s back line lead to Anna Ryan scoring the 11th goal of the game. The girls kept possession well for the last ten minutes with a final goal from Neasa Trainor just before the final whistle making the score 12-0 to Moate CS girls.
