Moate CS 3rd year student represents Ireland in show-jumping in the UK and returns victorious.

During the October mid-term break Moate CS student  Aine Shortall took her annual trip to the UK to compete for Ireland in show-jumping.

She performed extremely well with some amazing results and brought home an abundance of Ribbons.

She Won the 148 Rising Stars competition on her pony Bungi. 98 competitors started out in this competition, and over the course of two days the top 40 got through to the final which Aine won out right.

Aine was selected to compete on the 148 team for Ireland with 3 other Irish competitors and helped them to take home the Gold Medal.

She had a second place on her other pony Clinton Class, just beaten by the narrowest of margins in the 148 cm 1.25 metre competition.

Southview is a very prestigious show on the show-jumping calendar and to get into the line up at this show is a huge achievement, but to win was just fantastic. Congratulations to Aine, and the best of luck in her future outings.
