5^th Year LCVP visit-out to Athlone Extrusions.

 On Tuesday 13^th November twenty 5^th year LCVP students from Moate Community School had the opportunity to visit Athlone Extrusions. The students were given a talk by Kenny O’ Brien – Plant Manager on the history of the factory which started in 1971. The students were brought on an extensive plant tour and shown the process from beginning to end. It was an extremely enjoyable visit to a thriving business which is one of Irelands biggest exporters and all of the students learned so much about health and safety in the workplace, production and selling raw materials worldwide.
