Rome

On Friday 3rd March, 90 5th year students along with their teachers, packed their bags and travelled to the beautiful city of Rome, full of excitement and anticipation for what was to come.

The students enjoyed an action packed itinerary, that included a guided tour of the city, taking in some of the fabulous historical sites the city has to offer, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forums. They also visited St. Peters Basilica in the Vatican City, with some students braving the steep climb to the top of Michelangelo’s Dome. Students also had the opportunity to visit the famous Spanish Steps and the beautiful Trevi Fountain.

Students also donned their aprons to make their own pizzas for dinner in an authentic Italian bistro, and they had the chance to show off their competitive edge with an evening of bowling.

On day three,  the group travelled south towards the beautiful Bay of Naples, and climbed to the summit of Mount Vesuvius. Afterwards, they travelled to the historic UNESCO site of the city of Pompei. As with the previous days, the group returned to the Hotel Corallo, for food, fun and relaxation in the hotel games room.

On their final day, the students enjoyed a day out to the Parco Catone Adventure park, ziplining and tree-climbing, before finishing off the trip with a bit of shopping on the way to the airport. A big thank you to all the teachers who travelled with the students to ensure a safe and fun trip for all.
