Moate CS had a great start to Athletics this year with 33 students competing in the Westmeath Cross Country School Championships in Belvedere, Mullingar. Moate CS had a hugely successful day taking home 13 medals overall.<\/p>\n
In the first-year race Libby Mc Hugh placed within the top 10 winning a medal and Billy Stenson placed 2nd<\/sup> taking home a well-earned silver. Our second-year girls and boys did extremely well, in the girls race. Karissa Burns, Aine Bracken and Lena Zydek who placed 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> respectively along with Neasa Trainor, Maire Croinin and Aoife Ross all placing in the top 10 bringing home 6 medals in their category.
