Our students were faced with the difficult challenge of setting up an enterprise during a pandemic, but they did not let this challenge stop them- instead they learned how to overcome this and adapt to an ever changing business environment.<\/p>\n<p>The virtual Regional Final took place on Wednesday 24<sup>th<\/sup> March 2021 and the following groups represented our school:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wreaths by Occasion-<\/strong> Bespoke handmade wreaths for every occasion by Lucy Champ &amp; Aoife Bolger.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creative Plaques- <\/strong>Handmade unique wooden plaques by Lauren White, Seara Henson, Ava Norris &amp; Darragh Madden.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessory Sisters- <\/strong>Key rings made from paracords and necklaces made from a combination of strings &amp; gems by Maddie Hinde, Ava Gahan<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bling your Thing- <\/strong>Decorative stickers for personal items by Cliona Lawless &amp; Kara Stenson<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intermediate Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bees Wax Wraps-<\/strong> Environmentally friendly way of keeping food fresh Members of this group were Emily Winters, Sarah McCormack and Keelin Robbins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>After the Whistle Blows- <\/strong>Informative GAA book by Ronan Murray.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dishes served by Winners-<\/strong> Healthy recipe book by Cian Johnson, Saoirse McGuinness, Neve Sweeney, Conor Molloy &amp; Jack Conroy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Occasional Stitch-<\/strong> Handmade bunting for every occasion by Emer Killian &amp; Kate Rohan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stylishly Safe-<\/strong> Embroidered face masks by Ellen Reynolds, Caoimhe Gannon &amp; Rebecca Finlay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A huge congratulations to Lucy Champ &amp; Aoife Bolger who claimed first prize in the Junior Category with their enterprise \u201cWreaths by Occasion\u201d and will represent Westmeath in the All-Ireland Final.<\/p>\n<p>Creative Plaques were awarded runners up in the Junior Category &amp; Bees Wax Wraps were runners up in the Intermediate category.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This experience has given our students an excellent insight into the running of a business, particularly during these challenging times. It has also provided them with skills and experience that will be invaluable to them in the future in the areas of management, selling, marketing and finance.
