{"id":3659,"date":"2020-01-06T09:17:01","date_gmt":"2020-01-06T09:17:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moatecs.com\/?p=3659"},"modified":"2020-01-06T09:17:01","modified_gmt":"2020-01-06T09:17:01","slug":"iontas-choir-sings-at-national-missing-persons-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moatecs.com\/iontas-choir-sings-at-national-missing-persons-day\/","title":{"rendered":"IONTAS CHOIR SINGS AT NATIONAL MISSING PERSONS DAY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>IONTAS CHOIR SINGS AT NATIONAL MISSING PERSONS DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>December has been a busy month for our Iontas Choir<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>22 members of Iontas Choir travelled to Dublin on Dec 4<sup>th<\/sup> to sing at the National Missing persons Day held in Kings Inn.<\/p>\n<p>The choir had been invited to sing at this event by the Department of Justice. Present at the event were the Garda Commissioner, Drew Harris and the Minister of state, David Stanton.<\/p>\n<p>It was an honour and privilege for the choir to perform at this National event. One of the songs performed was \u201cBring Him Home\u201d during a slideshow of photos of missing people.\u00a0 The Irish Times described their performance as a\u201d beautiful and haunting rendition of a poignant song\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Dec 8<sup>th<\/sup>, the choir performed with Athlone Choral Society in St Marys Church of Ireland. The choir performed four pieces on their own and then two with the Choral Society.
