This week our TY’s made the well know “Buzz Wire Game”, it’s a skilful game, it calls for a cool head and steady hand, if you touch the wire and you set off the buzzer!

We coded the micro:bits setting them to 3 lives, each time the wire was pressed the micro:bit would make a sound, after three attempts the micro:bit would play a melody and display the text “game over”.

We downloaded the code onto the micro bits and wired it using crocodile clips and copper wire to make the game.

Making Games is a fun way to learn and experiment with code. The BBC Micro: bit is a great way to learn programming. We are learning the fundamentals of programming with drag & drop blocks and can create our own games!
