Our School has a Polytunnel since 2018.\u00a0 A Polytunnel committee is formed each year with a selection of enthusiastic students from TY.\u00a0 They completely manage the planting of seeds, maintenance and harvesting a wide range of vegetables such as onions, spinach and carrots to name a few.\u00a0 They connect with the local primary schools and community projects in our town.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Our hardworking and dedicated committee this year is <\/span>Dylan Weir Norris, Dylan Magee, Killian Heavin, Kian Brady, Adam Cullinane, Simon Bradly, Ciaran Murphy and Aaron Hanevy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b> Recently they visited Patsy McCormack and Johnny Doran in Moate Men\u2019s Shed to see their polytunnel\u2019s winter vegetable garden and crafts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To further raise awareness of the polytunnel\u2019s endeavours of encouraging growing your own organic produce, they are spearheading a competition in the school for 1<\/span>st<\/span> year to TY students to produce and sell their own healthy and nutritious snack in our school canteen!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
