Student Enterprise Awards 2022

Six student Enterprise groups from Moate Community School represented the school at the County Final which took place on Thursday 10th March in Golden Island Shopping Centre. Following the annual trade fair in the school in December, these groups were selected to represent Moate Community School at the county final. Students were interviewed by the judges and had an opportunity to sell their products on the day. Each of the groups put in a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment over the past few months. They have marketed and sold their products in school, at home and also in the local shops. Students in each of the categories have developed key skills in the areas of being an entrepreneur, time management, financial analysis and general skills involved in the running a business. It proved to be an excellent experience for all who took part.

On the day Moate Community School claimed all three of the Junior category prizes and the students award in the Senior category. Our first place winners in the Junior category will now represent Westmeath in the All-Ireland final in Croke Park in May.
