Second Year Boys A Championship

Moate community school second year boys hold out for first round win over  Mullingar CBS.

The game was played on Friday the 12^th  November on Moate CS pitch . Mullingar scored the first two points, both from play. MCS then scored 1-6 without reply, leading at the first water break.

CBS came out strong after the break but still Moate CS led at half time.

Upon resumption the Moate CS lads dispatched two  goals in quick sucession to extend their lead heading into the final fifteen minutes. CBS made a strong comeback and put the Moate lads under pressure but they could not bridge the gap. In the final stages Moate kept a physical Mullingar side at bay whilst scoring key points the opposite end running out winners.

Final score Moate C.S. 3-11        Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar 2-13.
