On the 25^th September 41 Athletes from Moate Community school took part in the Westmeath Cross Country Championships.  All students who took part did extremely well, and overall, our athletes took home 15 medals. There were some standout performances on the day including Ali Duffy and Jack McGuiness both in 2^nd year place 1^st in their age group. Harry Hughes, Ewan Kelly, Billy Stenson and Isaac McCormack in the third year boys race placed 1^st 2^nd 3^rd and 4^th.  Laura Fox in 3^rd Year placed 3^rd in her race. In the Transition year girls race Aine Bracken crossed the finish line first, quickly followed by Erin O Faolain who placed 3^rd. Diana Heaven, Freya Shine, June Stenson, Maire Croinin, Mollie Quinn and Will Heffernan all placed in the top 10 in their races.
