Moate 5th year student attends European Parliament in Strasbourg

In early December Troy Bradley in 5th year represented Moate Community School in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The four day trip was in conjunction with the graduate.ie, an online citizenship & Democracy initiative in which Troy was a participant. Whilst in the European Parliament, Troy worked with other young people from the EU and presented on the issue of how security implementation can impact on our Human Rights. The young people debated on a number of topics relating to the EU and beyond, and they learned from listening to opinions on both sides of the issue. The trip was a once in a life-time opportunity for Troy, and the educational and social impact according to the 5th year student was immense. Best wishes to Troy in his future citizenship endeavours in Moate and beyond.
