Over 100 incoming 6th class boys and girls enjoyed a superb sports day hosted by the sports department in Moate Community school. At the end of the day, school principal Mr. Tom Lowry, presented the winning students with a sports scholarship for their first year in Moate Community school. A mix of sports were monitored across the day including soccer on our astro turf pitches, Gaa on the main pitch, badminton and fitness testing in the gym and basketball on the main courts. The winners included the following students- BOYS-

Kyle Broderick ( Moate Boys -Oliver Plunketts), Gordan Feery ( Ballycumber) and Kyle Rainey (Mount Temple), GIRLS- Casey Mulvihal ( Mount Temple), Kate Whyte ( Ballymore) and a joint award for Twins- Millie/Erin Hagan (St. Brigids, Moate)
